Blackcomb Springs Suites has taken every step possible to ensure the safety of our Team, Guests, and their pets, including the housekeeping department following revised, deeper cleaning and disinfecting protocols using Virox 5, a broad-spectrum virucide which has been included on Health Canada’s list of approved disinfectants to be used against emerging viral pathogens, including COVID-19 and canine parvovirus.

Our Continued Commitment to Your Safety
As we start to put the pandemic behind us, we have learned to be more mindful as we go through our regular activities. Guided by our purpose of care, we have adjusted our processes to safeguard our Team and Guests. Our Team continues working hard to ensure we meet the latest guidance from the industry on hygiene and cleaning. Our health and safety measures are designed to address a broad spectrum of viruses, including COVID-19, and cover everything from hand-washing hygiene, disinfecting product specifications, frequency of sanitization, and cleaning procedures.

Guest Suites
Enhanced housekeeping procedures are in place. We have reduced the place settings and cookware in each Suite to match the maximum occupancy. As each Guest departs, every Suite is fully cleaned and disinfected, toiletries are discarded; TV remotes, telephones, common touch points, and all surfaces are treated with Virox 5. 

Housekeeping service is available daily during your stay between 9 and 11 am. We kindly ask you to vacant your Suite while our Team conducts this service. You can schedule it in advance through Guests Services by dialing “0”. 

Cleaning of High Traffic Areas
Front doors, washroom doors, elevators, and all high traffic touch points are disinfected at regular intervals. 

Wet Area - Pool & Hot Tubs
Blackcomb Springs Suites is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy environment by adhering to the local and provincial health authorities. While the outdoor pool remains open, we kindly ask all Guests to be respectful of other’s situations and personal choices, as well as to limit their time in the pool, and on the pool deck so everyone can enjoy it. To access our hot tubs, guests are required to book in advance using our online reservation system, which provides guests with a 30-minute window. The Wet Area is open daily from 10AM - 10PM. 

Team Members
Team Members must fill out a daily health questionnaire before entering the workplace. Any Team Member who has symptoms that could be related to any respiratory infection is required to contact the Health Authorities immediately and to let us know the indications provided by health professionals. Team Members who show symptoms are not allowed to work while getting paid.

Our Team are hand washing constantly or whenever gloves are changed out. Gloves are changed after cleaning and every time a Team Member leaves the Guest Suite. A second Team Member with new gloves then enters the Suite to inspect and finish disinfection. Our Team disinfects the guest room door handles multiple times throughout the day and into the evening. British Columbia Health Authorities also recommend our Guests frequently wash or sanitize their hands. 

Guests 
As per British Columbia’s Provincial Health Officer, masks are required in all indoor public areas for people ages 12 and older. Guests are asked to continue observing maximum occupancy in elevators and to respect others. Hand sanitizer is available in all elevator landings and in the lobby.
