The oldest and most iconic festival that Whistler offers is the World Ski & Snowboard Festival that takes place towards the end of ski season every April There is ski and snowboard competitions, outdoor and indoor music and nightlife and nightly events at the Conference Centre that include photography and filmmaking contests. This is the one event where you are bound to make friends with the locals.
Tough Mudder is returning to Whistler, June 15-16th, 2019, offering a Tough Mudder 5K and a Tough Mudder Classic (8-10 miles). An obstacle course designed to test your strength, perseverance and teamwork skills; it’s the perfect way to challenge yourself and your friends. With the Mudder Village Festival also taking place, you can enjoy food, drinks, games and live entertainment with your new Mudder friends.
Crankworx is the highlight of the year for mountain bikers. Taking place from August 9th-18th, it is the ultimate celebration of mountain biking. This 9-day festival is crammed full of races and events. The best riders compete and share their talents with fans while enjoying an exciting week of competition. Lots of the events are free to watch, making it the perfect festival for spectators.
An annual event that Whistler embraces that encourage both amateur and competitive bikers to ride from Vancouver to Whistler along the Sea to Sky Highway. The event is facilitated by road closures, so bikers can ride the route worry free.The finish line in the village is a celebration offering live music and biking displays.
